TWS Slalom Technique Series Ep 6: Harness lines

In the last episode of the TWS Slalom Technique Series you can find out everything about the setting of the harness lines, boom height and how this influences your gear. After watching all six episodes you should be ready for the upcoming races or challenging your friends on your local spot. Remember that with slalom equipment every small change makes a big difference but being on the water is the most important. Do not hesitate to book a trip to Tenerife and enjoy the best equipment available.

Harness lines and boom heightOn the North Sails Warp you can see the dot in the sail where the harness lines should be centred around. This is an easy way to start adjusting the harness lines to your own preference. Setting the harness lines to the right position is fairly simple, if there is too much pressures on your back hand, move it back. If there is too much pressure on the front hand, move the lines forward. Using adjustable lines is also very useful as you can make the lines shorter on days with less wind and flat water and make them longer when it is very windy, to give you more control. As discussed in the earlier episodes, the height of your boom can influence the board’s performance and make it more loose or stick more to the water.
