Outlook: Calm

So far Autumn hasn't arrived in the UK - It has in Scotland, but that's only just in the UK these days. In the deep South West of the county September has been blighted with beautiful weather and soaring temperatures, every windsurfers nightmare. I've sailed twice in the last month - neither sessions was spectacular and certainly not the depression driven wind that you might hope for at the end of September.Nevertheless living out West means that any groundswell that finds its way through the Atlantic doldrums hits beaches that are reasonably close. So this blog post breaks all the rules as it contains not only no loops, but no windsurfing - My first SUP post (this won't become a habit).A 1ft @ 11s groundswell bought some small waves into Rest bay - perfect for my learner paddling ability. The gentle offshore wind, glassy waves and hazy warm sunshine made it look and feel more like Malibu than Wales!
