PWA Slalom New Caledonia DAY 3

Hey everybody,

not bad for the first day! We had 25 knots, and I was on my 7.8m2 sail and my 107lt board.

I had a lot of fun and the speed was really good. Too bad that the inside mark was placed in the wind shadow of the hotels and buildings on the beach. So it happened that you came in on the second place, and at the mark the speed was going down completely so you were overtaken and ranked on the last place after the mark in the wind shadow. Because the other guys came in with the next gust behind you, which happened in a lot of heats!

The wind looks good for the next days, so we hope that the course will be set better. To run fair heats for the sailors and to make it attractive for the live cast and for the public visitors!!!

Good sailing was put put in the back seat in the last few years and it´s become more like a circus.

Sorry to say so but someone has to do it!!!

Saludos, Björn
