Stiffness, acceleration and control are the predominant sensations when you step on this board for the first time. It rides low on the water, or rather doesn't rear up and nose lift.

The width seems to be beneficial to the wind range of the board. The Futura 104 provides enough support to pair it with a 7.8m² in light winds and won't feel bulky when paired with a 6.0m² in strong winds regardless of the 42 centimeter fin, thanks to the reduced thickness and no excess volume.

Extremely efficient on the beam and downwind reaches, the Futura 104 goes straight and stays flat at all times. No nose lift nor no spin outs and pushing on the fin with the back foot doesn't give you that burning thigh sensation.

In the jibe, it is very efficient in the exit, with the ability to vary the curves even though it is not always the most stable.
