It’s been a while since we did a Windsurfing Legends profile but its back with a modern day freestyle windsurf legend in the name of Jose “Gollito” Estredo!

This guy has been ruling the PWA World Freestyle Events for some years now, having been crowned 4 x Windsurf Freestyle World Champion!

Living in: El Yaque – Isla Margarita

Disciplines: Freestyle, Slalom and Wave

How I started: I saw some guys, like my brother on the water in El Yaque, and wanted to do the same,just better. I got one of my brothers boards and a sail, and started planing on the water. I loved it straight away.

My Slogan: I will do everything to be the best!

He sure must believe in his slogan because Gollito Estredo has been PWA Freestyle World Champion in 2006, 2008, 2009 & 2010. If your are wondering where he was in 2007, he got 2nd place! That is ruling it for sure! He was also part for the ground breaking windsurf movie Four Dimensions, by the late Andre Paskowski.
