NWF JuniorNWF Junior will take place at Rutland this year on  6-7 August. Open to youngsters aged 8-18 years, there will be a range of taster sessions in Kayaking, SUP and Windsurfing, coached by top professionals from each sport. It’s Time to Stand By Your Van!Back in 2013, we asked you to stand by your van – and tell the world you love her (and why!)NWF was looking for the Van with the mostVa Va Voom! ‘The Mega Van’ was the winner, against tough competition. Now, by popular request, we are once again seeking a Van-ity Fair!We are not looking for the most expensive van, but the most innovative, practical and multi-functional Watersports Wagon.  Points will be awarded for all kinds of arbitrary reasons, including witty write ups and funny photos.To enter your pride and joy, e mail a couple of photos showing off the exterior and interior with a short write up telling us about your van, what attracted you to her, her pet name, her quirks and bad habits plus any interesting stories – and why you love her! NWF Live MusicThere is an exciting program of music all day at this year’s NWF and more bands are joining the line up every day! In our last newsletter, we announced that Portsmouth band Cadency will be performing live at the Friday night beach party. Rock covers band The FOCs are back by popular demand to headline Saturday night while throughout the day, an amazing variety of acoustic music will be playing. Hayling singer-songwriters Scott Hodges and Mark Handley will be alongside local band One Night Stand. Hayling Island Sailing Club and the Pompey Pluckers are bringing their Ukeleles to create a Hawai’ian beach vibe and acoustic covers duo / trio One 4 the Road will be appearing, as will singer songwriters Heidi Lynch and Jamie Hallitt… Watch this space as more are being added by the day!

Team WindwiseEvery year, the top coaches in the business offer free clinics at the NWF. Simon Bornhoft, architect of the RYA ‘Fast Forward’ teaching system and technique editor for Boards Magazine (among others) is one of those who will be there. Simon runs ‘Team Windwise’ at the NWF. Simon says “Anyone is more than welcome to join Team Windwise for NWF; we are there to assist people through the event. You would be part of our hospitality area, which acts as a base camp for an even better social atmosphere. We also happily assist with race tactics and any technique traumas. Plus we have some special extra goodies for those who are in our team, which is open to every level.
