Pod #8 - Winter - Markus Rydberg

Markus decided to spend the winter in Sweden instead of traveling to warmer climates to practice for the upcoming season. What he didn't know was that this winter would go to the history book for being super windy.
Here's the outcome of two filmed sessions during the storms "Svea" and "Egon".

Tenerife King of Downwind 2015

A short video showing the event we organised for the first time here in Tenerife. The idea that started in our heads few months before: a downwind race next to the coast of Tenerife. We have chosen El Poris as a place to start the race and finish in front of our center in El Medano, 17km in the straight line down the wind. Our waiting period between 5th-13th of February was a bit unlucky with the wind, and just after long period of strong winds. But we decided to go for not the best forecast anyway and managed to run the event on 7th of February 2015. With the wind ranging 7-15 knots 12 competitiors had to use the biggest equipment they had with them. The winner of the race was Matteo Iachino with the time of 33min 25sek, in front of Vincent Langer and Jordy Vonk. The best from the ladies finished Esther van Geus. We are happy about the results and we will be organising that kind of events in the future again! Many thanks to all people who helped organise the event and helped with filming/photo shooting: Bartek Jankowski, Kuba Jędzejewski, Andrzej Jóźwik, Macarena Delgado Diaz, Guillermo Fernandez Mendez and others! Winter 2013-14 V2

This video took me so long to get online. Version 1 got banned because of a music issue, and then it took me 6 months to get V2 uploaded. Like always, its Maui and Cape Town, but there is also a bit from Mauritius too. Thanks to everyone that filmed bits and pieces!
