JP 2019 SUP Surf Wide

The Surf Wide line provides all the features of a full-on performance shaped surf paddleboard with the comfort of the added width. The thin rails hold the turn smoothly and the slightly flatter rocker line generates a lot of speed. The entire line features slightly pulled in nose and a squash tail for a quicker release. The stability combined with unbelievable turning potential is still the main characteristic of this progressive shape concept. The PRO boards have 3 FCS center fin plugs in addition to the standard quad set-up. Try them in a Thruster set up for the bigger days or even as a Nubster set up. The boards come with a quad fin set. Innegra on the PRO boards adds the abrasion resistance but it doesn’t add stiffness as we didn’t want to alter the flex pattern of the boards. Basalt on the Wood Edition boards adds strength, stiffness and abrasion resistance. Basalt is 100% volcanic rock, a natural and sustainable fiber.

JP 2019 SUP Surf

More: https://jp-australia.com/2019/sup/products/hard-boards/2019-surf/ The JP-Australia Surf range is designed for the “no-compromise”, top to bottom performance in the proper surf conditions for riders of all sizes. The whole Surf line has unique features; single to double concave flowing into a V tail, pulled in nose and tail, progressive rocker line and thin rails. All new for 2019 is the 8’6”x29”. Werner has slightly thinned out the rails and pulled in the nose and the tail, but the volume remains at 113L. All of the PRO boards come with a 5 fin setup option and 3 fins. The smaller sizes from 7’2” through to 8’6” all come with 3 FCS plugs for the center fin position instead of the US box to keep the weight down to a minimum. The 3 plugs provide 2 center fin position options and the boards come with a RTM thruster fin set. The 8’10” and the 9’2” have the 5 fin option with the US box for the center fin to be able to accommodate a bigger fin. The Wood Edition come with standard – US box thruster set up. The PRO layup of our SURF boards has no carbon as we believe that carbon makes the boards too stiff for the surf. We have kept a natural flex pattern with strategic dual density sandwich layup and optimized fiber direction. For 2019 we have developed rail construction with Innegra fiber on the PRO boards and Basalt fiber on the Wood Edition boards. No more paint chipping.

The 2019 X:Series - NeilPryde Windsurfing

The X:Series is built using classic industry standard sail construction, leaving out some of the premium features of our CORE:Series of sails, but with the full heritage of NeilPryde’s design knowledge going into the shapes. This allows us not to compromise on performance but to bring a more accessible sail to the market. We put a lot of effort into the development of this new sail and the entire X:Series, that’s why we are convinced that they will work perfectly for years to come. https://www.neilpryde.com/

The Great Route - Teaser

Stand Up Paddler adventurer and environmental activist Michael Walther sets off with filmmaker Maximilian Stolarow and photographer Daniell Bohnhof to find the hidden beauty of Greenland´s remote west coast. They follow the ancient "Great Route“ that Inuit ancestors have travelled before them. Their goal was to find out more about climate change in the high north and to get in touch with locals. On their way, they met the inspiring Valdemar Petersen, who had some stories and poems to tell. Ultimately they find a region that needs to be protected. The teaser is amazing, be prepared for goosebumps. Stay tuned for the full journey at upcoming film festivals in 2019!

SALT

I find it always takes a bit of time to connect to a place however I can truly say that after two years on this little island I can now officially call it home. The feel of a community here on the Isle of Wight is so strong and so special. Even on wild Winter days you will find a whole group of friends down at the beach or in the ocean tackling the chunky Winter swells.

You can easily spend hours at the bay watching friends catch waves, drinking tea & chatting on the shore. Sometimes I feel those wild, salt spray, windswept Winter days are the best. Peaceful and refreshing in fact. The thickest wetsuits, wooly hats, knitted socks and steamy cups of tea.

Grab a cuppa, sit back and enjoy the rhythm of the waves.
