Du 14 au 17 mai 2015, 1200 windsurfeurs se sont réunis à Gruissan pour vivre un Défi Wind d'anthologie, une véritable course du siècle rassemblant les meilleurs windsurfeurs de tous les temps dans une tramontane démentielle. Après quatre manches marathon et près de 150 km de course, Pierre et Marion Mortefon ont été sacrés, mais le windsurf en général a encore une fois été le grand vainqueur.

I remember playing in the "keiki" pond at Ho'okipa was I was young and watching the windsurfers fly through the air and dance in the waves. I was always fascinated and dreamed of doing the same. Now its become my passion that I am lucky enough to practice daily and can also share what I love with people worldwide.

The film is called "ABSTRACT" because I didn't have enough footage for a "normal" windsurfing clip. So I decided to try something new. The band "Amanaz" is from Zambia (Africa), the song is from the 70's, and the genre is called stoner/psychodelic rock. This is the reason why the film looks a little bit abstract (color, effects,..). An abstract could also be some kind of a summary. In the end it is a summary in an abstract way.
I hope to see all the nice people I have met one day in the future again
