The JP-Australia Team on Maui for the annual JP photo shoot: Morgan Noireaux HI-101 won the only down-the-line PWA event with this board last year - the Aloha Classic. He did it twice - 2014 and 2015! Together with his team mates Jason Polakow KA-1111, Robby Swift K-89, Antoine Martin F-193 and Leon Jamaer G-208, he carves up big Ho'okipa waves.

Description

The last day of the Slalom competition in sotavento saw the first port tack start in the history of the event with a five gibe course. A great final elimination of the event with winds up to 40 knots.

The Thruster Quad is the all-rounder in the JP wave range, designed to work in all conditions, making the most of your precious wave sailing time. It is wavier than all its predecessors, more fun to ride and the most-used board of the JP team riders on the PWA tour. Robby Swift K-89, Jules Denel FRA-41 and Leon Jamaer G-208 enjoy them on the water.

Only one elimination on the second to last day of the Fuerteventura Slalom event. After waiting for the conditions to improve, Matteo Iachino took the only bullet of the day with an amazing performance in the final.

Fueteventura continues to deliver fantastic conditions for the slalom fleet. Enjoy the highlights of two full eliminations with more great action with Antoine and Williams winning one elimination each.

More carnage ensued on the second day of racing with winds once gain over 40 knots testing the elite of the slalom world to their limits. 3 eliminations - 3 different courses - and plenty of crashes!

The PWA World Cup in Sylt sponsored by Mercedes in Germany is one of the highlights towards the end of the season and every rider is happy to return to the beaches of the popular island as it normally provides great conditions. This year it was no different: Already on the first day the wind was strong enough to run the wave conditions and the whole JP team did well, with 3 riders in the top-10 – Robby Swift in 5th, Antoine Martin and Leon Jaemer in 9th. The freestyle discipline was to be decided in Sylt and JP rider Amado Vrieswijk was leading the rankings before the event and in the single elimination he proofed to be a worthy champion with the highest ranking of the whole event! In the end Amado finished 2nd in the annual ranking followed by Yentel Caers in 3rd and Steven Van Broeckhoven in 8th. In Slalom our rides made a next step up in their performance with Malte Reuscher finishing as best JP rider with Mateus Isaac, Ethan Westera and Sebastian Kornum hot on his heels. They also showed to be on the leading edge of foil board development as Sebastian Kornum finished on the podium of the first PWA foil race which was organized as a test on Sylt.

Fast zehn Stunden sportliche Action am Strand von Sylt. Genug Zeit, um eine Menge geile Wavebilder zu machen. Anschauen und genießen.

Nach Jahren der Flaute konnten wir in diesem Jahr endlich wieder die Königsdisziplin im Windsurfen, das Wave, vor der Küste Westerlands genießen. Immer wieder ein Highlight!

Unfortunately, for the first time in history it was not possible to gain an official result for the netIP Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup — sponsored by netIP — with the wind and wave gods not quite aligning this time around. Over that last 7 year’s Cold Hawaii has developed its reputation as one of Europe’s premier wave sailing locations and although this week may not have produced a result, it still produced plenty of fantastic moments and remains firmly on the windsurfing map. While offering world class windsurfing and surfing, Cold Hawaii also has so much more to offer with its tight-knit, family, community making it one of the most welcoming and friendly spots on the tour — with a real sense of togetherness. This combined with Cold Hawaii’s untouched, pristine nature means that it’s a great place to visit even on the rare occasion that the elements fail to play ball. The PWA would like to thank all those involved with the event.
