Wir haben den Überflief´ger zum Interview getroffen und über siene nächsten Ziele gesprochen.

www.windsurfworldcup.de | Der Reno Windsurf World Cup Sylt ist das größte Windsurf-Event der Welt und genießt als einzige Station der Volkswagen PWA World Tour 2011 (Tourstop Germany) den Status eines Super Grand Slam. 121 Aktive aus 31 Nationen gingen am Brandenburger Strand in den Disziplinen Waveriding, Freestyle und Slalom an den Start und kämpfen um ein Gesamtpreisgeld von 105.000 Euro. 2011 wurde ein neuer Bsucherrekord erreicht 230.000 Besucher kamen nach Sylt und genoßen sommerliche Temperaturen. Das emotionalste Highlight: Philip Köster bekommt mit erst 17 Jahren als erster Deutscher den Weltmeisterpokal in der Disziplin Waver überreicht.

The local crew to Quayside Windsurfers and Severneshop took a trip up to Wells in Norfolk to sail the 30 knot winds predicted - what they got was a whole lot more.....

Within 4 days of a massive Sperm Whale being found on Old Hunstanton beach, another sea monster has been found in the wash. This massive Conger Eel (I think) was found at Hunstanton on the high water line. Why are massive sea monsters washing up in the same area of each other - could there be an even bigger sea monster lurking in murky waters of the wash??

A massive 40ft Sperm Whale is washed up on old Hunstanton beach and Team QSW get out to see this unique sight. The 35 Tonne male Sperm attracts huge crowds looking in wonder at this massive mammal laying dead on the beach. Old Hunstanton is one of Team QSW's local sailing spots, and its looks like whale watching could become another arrow in their bow!

For Jay the Season 2011 was very nice! He trained a lot in this year and landed the upcoming new school moves like ss Konos, Skopus and normal stance Moves. Jay is one of the best upcoming Talents in Germany! He's now 15 years old and for sure he will kick some asses in the future! Team QSW riders Neil Greentree and Steve Chatten take a trip to Wells next to sea for for flat water windsurfing, but after light winds hamper the start the wind pickes up and alls good..........until.......

After 7 straight years winter training in Cape town it was time for a change! ..So here i am in Australia! I've been here 3 weeks and its going great.. We scored a full week up north with head to logo high waves everyday.. unfortunately my camera broke before i set foot on the board. So all the land footage was from a 20min session where Johan borrowed a friends camera.. it was also the smallest day we had.. which is why i took out a go pro on the nose of my board (Have a look and u will see it haha) but you get the idea of how good it can be and was!! Camera is in the repairers now so fingers crossed they fix it and i can bring u some proper action!! :)

Its late December 2011 and the Norfolk sailors head to East Runton on an awesome Westerly forecast. Watch Team QSW riders Andy Holland and Jonny Fanneran busting the big moves with Steve Chatten, our resident Slalom sailor, having a go too!
