2011 has been a great season in Cape Town... this video pretty much sums up my trip.. it was going to be a bit more polished but i'm flat out at the moment and i could see it not getting finished... so i've thrown together a quick one!! Hope you like the music... hahahahaha...

Sunday 13th saw a massive swell hitting the coastline of SAL / Cabe Verde. Based on the Forecast we dicided quickly to get some flights and meet all in Lisbon. Only Philip was missing. He lost his Flight from Gran Canaria to Madrid and could not make it in time anymore. Marcilio had the longest travel coming straight from Maui. But we got rewarded with some fantastic condtions. Our main goal was to capture all moments on camera to get one nice caboverde chapter for the minds wide open dvd. I think this goal we reached by miles. DVD coming End of 2011. Not just another tropical island.... No it it definitely not. All agree that week here is definitely not enough. It was a first major event for windsurfing here but definitely not the last. Everybody wants to come again not only for racing conditions but also for other attractions that island has to offer.

Needed to get one on my B'day.. ok.. it's a little wet but it wasn't a big ramp! It was the only clip i had on the camera.. so cheers to Phily for filming that one run! I will get a clean one on camera just need some bigger waves... totally nailed myself on the next one.. coughing up bloodd.. nearly sick.. still feel rough now and i have to go to the pub!! Cape Town has been firing.. i've been here about a month and i'm starting to get into it. I've been trying a few moves and the one i really want to crack is the 'Pushloop forward' ...this is the only attempt i have on video!! Just need to keep my feet in the straps!! haha
