BOOT Exhibition and SURF Magazin (Germany) scout for new talents: The award for the best newcomer is designed to help young talents on their way to the top. This is the third time this award is given to a talented young rider. Hot Sails Maui Team rider Nico Prien was chosen as Best Newcomer for 2012 and receives 2013 Euros to help towards training expenses. The award was awarded by Phillip Köster who handed over the cheque to Nico. The funny thing about it: Nico and Phillip are same age, but Phillip already has two world titles!

Nico will use the money for a 5 week training camp in Tenerife later this year.

Nico joined Hot Sails Maui Team last year and already made a good job of promoting the brand. We are happy to have him in the Team and congratulate him for this Award!
