JP wins at Danish Nationals

20 year old Sebastian Kornum DEN-24 won both disciplines, Slalom and Formula, and thus took the overall title in the first battle of the Danish National Racing series.

This first of the Danish performance events took place in Copenhagen just two days after Sebastian returned from a six month stay in Maui, where he had assisted the designers Robert Stroj and Werner Gnigler in the development of sails and boards.

This Danish event was a demonstration how competitive the JP-Australia race team is:

Sebastian was using the JP Formula Power and the JP Slalom boards – just like his team and training partner Christian Justesen DEN-26, who ended 4th overall in the event and won the youth class. Both were on the new EVO V sails.

The young Danish JP/NeilPryde riders have now got one day of rest, before they move on to the Slalom Worlds in Sylt, Germany, starting on the 8th May.

Sebastian is full of optimism for the season:
“Our new racing gear is faster than ever, and I am totally on fire after having tried the production sails and boards for the first time this weekend. I got my gear just one day before the race, and literally rigged and raced it without any time for fine tuning. It is so perfectly designed, and simply makes racing more fun than ever.”
