Sails rigged for the Lancelin Ocean Classic 2014

The 29th edition of the Australia's longest-running windsurfing event invites the best windsurfers and kiteboarders from around the planet to a four-day beach festival, with plenty of things to do.

Western Australia's world famous South Westerly sea breeze expects names like Björn Dunkerbeck and Steve Allen, in the famous 25-kilometer windsurfing marathon.

"It's always a world class event in Lancelin, the community gets right behind it and that really shows when you get the best professionals flying in from around the world year in year out", says Allen.

The Lancelin Ocean Classic 2014 will also feature an exciting wave competition, with over 70 competitors sailing in four-man heats trying to out-maneuver each other with huge aerials or radical wave riding.

Due to rising popularity, a kitesurfing component has been added with three events: a downwind marathon, a wave event and an Expression Session/Big Air competition.
