With the competition in Podersdorf finished the international Freestyle season of the EFPT got officially started for the Severne freestyle team. Read below what they found from the event and which result they achieved.
- Rick Jendrusch (5th Place)
For me Podersdorf is always a nice event to go! I drive there and most of the time the temperature is already higher than home in the Netherlands! This year we had not so much wind, but I knew it could be really light during the event! The EFPT pushed the competition so we still would have a result even with the light winds! For me the light wind is okay, i can handle it! I felt really fit and in the end I became 5th! For me this is a really good result and a good start of the season! Let's hope the next EFPT we have some more wind, so we can show all our skills!
- Amado Vrieswijk (5th place + 8th place tow-in)
This was my second year in Podersdorf , and the first time competing in a EFPT-event. Unfortunately the wind conditions waren’t so perfect but the event was really nice organized and the people where always friendly.
I’m quite happy with my results,I became 5th in the freestyle- and 8th in tow-in competition.
I’m looking forward to the next freestyle event (that will be PWA-Bonaire) and hope we will have lots of wind so we can show some big moves in our heats. Right after Podersdorf I travelled to the Azores to attend the IFCA Slalom-worlds men. So time for some slalom!
-Dieter Van der Eyken
This was my 5th time in Podersdorf already. An event that doesn’t really seem to work for me over the years scoring already my 4th 9th place and worst EFPT results since I started competing 6 years ago. The wind was extremely light during the event and I was quite unlucky in my heat against Jacope Testa. He did a Kono during the first gust where I did a Culo. I was searching for 9,5 minuts to do a kono as well but simply couldn’t find a gust that was strong enough (you pretty much had to pump yourself into every move), even on my biggest kit. So result wise its an event I rather forget fast and competitive wise I didn’t learn to much out of it either. But besides that all the event was amazing again, so good I actually stayed in Austria for a bit longer and had 2 great sessions in Podersdorf over the weekend on 4.4 and 4.0 so I’m still looking back on this week with a big smile! Now up to Bonaire lets start the PWA year better with hopefully some more wind!
