Switzerland goes Black!

When you think about windsurfing in Switzerland, what spot comes to your mind? Silvaplana. Famous for the PWA, Eurocups and the great yearly Engadin Marathon: daily thermical winds, beautiful weather, and the lake's unique location in the heart of the Alps make it a very special place to be.

Right on the best spot of the lake, is the school and rental centre which was run from World Champion Noldi Missiaen. He took the school in 1987 and ran it successfully for 20 years In 2007 Sarah started to work at her father’s centre and also became his business partner. In 2007 Alexandre Panier started to work as windsurf instructor at the school. Noldi slowly gave more and more responsibility to Sarah and in 2013 he decided to give the young generation the opportunity to run the school/shop/rental themselves. So Alex became Sarah’s business partner and now they run the business together.

We go into a new area with the proudness to be importer of the brand Point-7. With this brand we have the perfect partner on our side. We will distribute the sails, masts, booms, and all accessories that the range offers, to the whole of Switzerland. Our plan is to push the sales trough the shops. We want to see more and more black sails in Switzerland and to have a lot of happy and fast costumers to join our lifestyle, and the windsurfing lifestyle, that the brand offers. We will be happy to supply also at our windsurfing centre special services such as rigging, testing and clinics. We look forward to have more centres who will join us provide these services in the different spots in the country. We would like to thank Andrea and the whole Team to give us this opportunity. We are looking forward to a successful distribution. We want to be present at the national races in Switzerland and we are happy to create the national BLACK TEAM with motivated riders!Sarah Missiaen

My first PWA event was in Silvaplana. I remember Anders Bringdal pushing hard to get me a spot at the event, and I was finishing 10th. I was than often competing on this unique.  To know that our distributor for Point-7 is based in the main school of that lake makes us extremely proud. We had the chance to meet Sarah and Alex. It was great to meet their years of experience in windsurfing, and their passion for teaching & promoting the sport. They have an incredible equipment knowledge. Their service in the shop, their professional assistance for rental, and high quality teaching, have made Windsurfing Silvaplana one of the most famous windsurf schools worldwide. We are sure that the work they will do to distribute our brand is in great hands. The service they will bring to shops, clients, windsurfing friends will be at the level that will satisfy everyone.Andrea Cucchi
