The first event is hosted in Yyteri, Finland, from June 11th to June 16th, together with ISAF’s Raceboard Worlds event. Forty charter Phantom kits are available for anyone wishing to attend and participate at the event.

The highest ranking Phantom 295 racer of the event will be the Phantom 295 Division Champion. To ensure top-level competition, the first man and woman of the event will automatically receive a ticket to an additional Phantom 295 event held in Thailand, to be announced later this year. Remi Vila, designer of the Phantom 295, will also be present to both compete and present the technical details of the Phantom 295 package.

A quick recap: The Phantom 295 is the new all-in one international windsurfer supported by Starboard, with events held around clubs, centres, schools and championship events, coordinated by Starboard international and a global network of national distributors and partners. The Phantom 295 positions itself as a feeder to many established classes: social and competitive on one hand, and affordable plus practical on the other. One board and three sails are available: 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5

The second Phantom 295 Event takes place a month later, in Medemblik, Holland. From August 11th to August 19th. Hosted together with the ISAF Raceboard Worlds Youth and Masters, the ISAF’s Raceboard Youth regulations require that all entrants compete on raceboards under 310cm, with the winner of the event crowned ISAF Raceboard Youth Champion. Both the best man and woman competing on a Phantom 295, will receive a ticket to compete at the next Phantom 295 event in Thailand.
