With light winds blowing in the final day of competing, Estredo used his victory in the single elimination to claim another world windsurfing title.

In the winners' final, dominated with big, powerful air moves - starting with a monster shaka before adding a trademark pasko and a double culo. Jose came into the final event of the season in third place. Now, he's all smiles.

"It's a dream to win my sixth world title. It feels amazing, I never expected it in my life. I'm really happy to have won again and be back at the top. I will keep training as hard as I can over the winter to make sure I can keep up," said "Gollito" Estredo.

"I never expected it to be honest. I just came to compete and try to get a good result in the final event of the year. To leave as the world champion is unbelievable. I feel lucky, but this is competition sailing. Last year I sailed really good, but I had a bad finish to the year; this year it worked out differently."

Sarah-Quita Offringa was officially crowned the PWA Women's Freestyle world champion for the seventh time. The freestyle queen is ecstatic.

"Lucky number seven. When the called out my name earlier on stage, I felt a bit emotional. When I think about it, seven world titles is actually a lot, so I don't know... I'm thankful; it's really good. I'm also happy to see Oda and Maaike pushing because that also keeps pushing me to improve. I can't wait," added Offringa.
