When Australian based speed team rider Brad Anderson first suggested that he wanted a custom Type R fin I was not sure that it was really needed, but he explained his reasoning and we decided to give his new size a try out!

“Being a speed sailor doesn’t mean you only sail in ballistic winds. In fact a lot of the preparation for the best days is done in moderate winds often using medium sized slalom boards. This is how the idea for a custom Type R 33.75 came about. For speed averages in the mid 30 int range & above I found the Type R 35 a little big when doing big bear aways & the 32.5 a bit small for my 100 ltr Slalom board & 7m sail.

Thankfully Chris and Tom were open to the idea and the 33.75 was made. I couldn’t be happier with the result this is the perfect combo with my iSonic 97 & Severne Reflex5 7m providing just the right amount of lift & control. Also perfect cross wind for Alpha’s.
