Peter Tomsett AUS-67 reports:
Over the weekend we had the third and final event of the West Oz Wavesailing Series and as usual we were not let down by the jewel of the South West that is Margaret River with perfect 20 to 25 knots side shore wind with logo to mast high waves. I was lucky enough to come away with a win in the Open Division and also scored for the largest wave ridden during the event. With this win I have come away this season with a 2nd in the Open at Greenhead, 2nd in the Open & Masters at Lancelin along with the 1st at Margaret River.
Equipment wise I was using the JP-2015 94L Rad-Quad and the NeilPryde Wizard, this comb works amazingly in the side offshore wind and larger waves. The board was just so controllable I could not image riding any other board in these conditions. Thanks Werner – the board is amazing, early planing and carves incredibly.
I would also like to thank the big man (although he is shrinking / losing so much weight) Reg for all the support with gear and just being there for a chat.
