What an amazing day! We had over 300 women come out, paddle, and participate in the 9th Annual Butterfly Effect Maui. The day was just right for all ages and levels. The sky was clear, the sun was shining, there was a tiny breeze and only a ripple of waves. These conditions made it safe for everyone to be out on the water having fun. The women checked in at Baldwin Beach Park at 9am and from there started the 3- mile non-competitive course to Kanaha Beach Park. As the women exited the water they were greeted with goodiebags, hydration, food from LifeFoods, massage, entertainment from live music by Free Radikals and Mishka, DJ, dance, inspirational speakers, art, aerial silk, slack line, expo tents from sponsors, and beach water sport introductions! There was an amazing vibe all around. As the day ended, people left to get ready for the evening private party held at Paia Bay Coffee Co. The private party was from 6pm -9pm and one of the “smiliest” parties we have seen! Everyone was stoked from the day and you could see it on the faces. The private party allowed fellow participants to meet each other and help connect the community. To end the day with a Bang! we had a jammed packed After Party at Charley’s with Sicnickles and DJ Pio and Gretchen.
