Entries are now open online for the Windsurfing National Championships and Team15 Champions Cup at Grafham Water Sailing Club, 19-20 September.
Windsurfers from across the country will come together for this annual two day event. The inaugural event in 2014 included the Team15 Champions Cup for the first time and over 220 windsurfers descended on the shores of Rutland Water.
The British Sailing Team race on the same waters as National, Zone and Club level sailors in the coming together of UK windsurfers in the Junior, Youth and Masters divisions. Previous winners include Dan Wilson who won the RYA Youth National Championships at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy back in April.
Chris Blackburn, High Performance Manger for the North and West is looking forward to a high entry turnout: “Last year, was such a fantastic event. It’s great to have so many different levels of windsurfers out on the water at the same time, for some it's about experiencing racing for the first time and for the British Sailing Team it's about performance.
“Combining the National Championships and Team15 Champions Cup has been a positive step for us and we are hoping for another strong entry this year.”
The online entry deadline is 9am 14th September 2015. Entries will be accepted on the day, but will be subject to a late entry fee.
The classes to enter include 3.5 Open, 4.5 Open, 5.8 Open, 3.5 Techno, 4.5 Techno, 5.8 Techno, 6.8 Techno and 7.8 Techno, Raceboard, RS:X and Formula.
