The months pass, the loops go down but somehow it doesn't get logged here. So this post is to kickstart this blog for 2016. 

Anyone based in the UK knows that the W and SW wind has been blowing since November without much sign of abating. Today was yet another one of those fantastic sessions. 

The following photos were taken at Newton in Porthcawl on a fairly typical day by my fantastic wife, who stood in the drizzling rain (and occasional glimpses of brightness) to grab them.

The bay was bustling with windsurfers  today,  mild temperatures and some easy waves made for a great session. The second in two days. The waves here aren't really very good for wave riding, but the offshore reef kicks up peaks up to 500m off the beach meaning that the jumping can be spectacular. So good that I have snapped 3 boards here...
