The #supbikerun race series is back for 2016! It is a unique Triathlon event presented by Europe’s leading action sports retailer Surfdome. Set in UK national parks the contest combining Stand Up Paddling with Mountain Biking and a trail run it flips the traditional Triathlon format on its head. #supbikerun is not only three events, there are numerous taster sessions, coaching and training sessions held throughout the country designed to get people active and involved in Stand Up Paddling, Mountain Biking and Running. Fanatic is proud to be spart of it!

For 2016 there are three new venues which will take place during the spring, summer and autumn of 2016 at mountain and lake courses around the UK. The new two-day format means that participants can enjoy each venue over a long weekend with excellent facilities, food, music and on-site camping. In addition to the main #supbikerun events, each participant will be awarded a free SUP session or workshop of their choice to enjoy on the Saturday before the main event. Entrants can select a free SUP taster session, SUPYoga class or SUP master class.

Each event venue will present a different challenge. New for 2016, participants can select their course distances by choosing the mighty Warrior route or the intense Barbarian course. The Warrior route represents a 3k SUP, a 15k mountain trail and a 5k running trail. The Barbarian route is exactly double the distance. Each event will be limited to 250 places.

Another new feature for 2016 is the chance for team entries. Registering 4-8 people means that each team qualifies for free Fanatic Fly  XL hire.

Event Locations and Dates:

#05 – Llandegfedd Reservoir, South WalesSaturday 21st & Sunday 22nd May Llandegfedd (Llandegveth) Reservoir and Country Park set in the beautiful rolling landscape of South Wales, near Pontypool. This beautiful 400-acre reservoir includes a state-of-the-art water sports and visitor centre opened Easter 2015.

Event #06 – Alton Water, SuffolkSaturday 30th & Sunday 31st July Located just 1hr 45 minutes from central London, Alton Water set within 400-acres of beautiful countryside and is the largest reservoir in the picturesque county of Suffolk.

Event #07 – Bassenthwaite Lake, The Lake DistrictSaturday 24th & Sunday 25th September The three ‘B’s’… big, beautiful and brutal! Bass delivers on all fronts and takes the #supbikerun event series tour to its most Northerly and challenging destination in the stunning Lake District.
