The Lancelin Ocean Classic dates back to 1986 when a handful of enthusiastic windsurfers met together for a downwind race from Ledge Point to Lancelin. Since this moment on the Lancelin Ocean Classic was born, now one of the best know windsurfing and water sport races in the world it attracts competitors from all round the globe. Taking place on one of Western Australia’s most beautiful coastal pockets, the Lancelin Ocean Classic also features a Windsurfing and Kitesurfing wave freestyle event as well as a new Stand Up Paddle and Ocean Ski race from Ledge Point to Lancelin.
This year, Starboard and Severne team riders Jaeger Stone and Jane Seman claimed the Waves titles, ahead of the likes of Ben Proffitt, Dieter van der Eyken, Justyna Sniady, Scott McKercher or Ben Severne.
