If you following regular surfing then some of you may have seen Kelly Slater surfing with 5 fins, well in the windsurfing world there’s one very talented young wave rider doing the same in certain conditions… Moritz Mauch (Severne / Severne).

Mauch was one of the standout wave riders in Pozo with air takas, goiters and tasty turns all on lock down, which saw him finish joint 9th at the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival, before finishing joint 17th in Tenerife.

For now Mauch is the only sailor to be seen using 5 fins, but he makes them look like they work extremely well - do you think we could see quinfins becoming the next trend in windsurfing or other sailors adopting the unorthodox setup? Let us know in comments box or tweet us @pwaworldtour
