3 JP RIDERS FINISH IN THE TOP-10 AND ADDITIONALLY YOUNG GUN MIGUEL CHAPUIS COMES 5TH IN THE YOUTH DIVISION !

The wind was strong and good waves rolling onto Tenerife’s shores. Awesome action from all the JP riders in the whole week.Action and interviews on the YouTube Channel->

JULES DENEL – FRA 41Here in Tenerife, Jules managed to up his performance in every heat to just maintain the lead over his opponents. And excellent exhibition of tactics compared with super solid sailing! FRA-41 can be very happy to record his first top 10 finish since 2016 – #7th.

“Great event full of emotions! In the single elimination of the PWA Tenerife wave world cup I celebrated a victory against Alex Mussolini, one of my favorite riders since I started the world tour – amazing! In the double elimination I won another heat to take #7 overall – finally, a top-10 result again!”

ROBBY SWIFT – K 89In the single elimination Robby lost against his team mate Leon Jamaer. With 20.85 points Robby was one of very few riders with to score more than 20 points in the double elimination.“What a great time in the Canaries! I can’t believe it was my 17th summer in a row there :) We sailed almost every day from the start of July till now and both wave events were fantastic. I’m leaving in 8th place which isn’t exactly what I had hoped for but I felt like I improved my sailing and heat performance since last year, so I’m happy with that! My board/sail/fin combos were working amazingly, it’s wonderful to have JP production boards that work so incredibly well.”

LEON JAMAER – G 208

The German sailed on a high level and very consistently in all of his heats. The photos show that he was enjoying the wave riding here as he pulled some of the highest aerials. The 9th place overall is another satisfying result!

MIGUEL CHAPUIS – E 99

The Spanish JP Young Guns could not pull-off his high level of sailing in every heat, which kept him from a top result here. But with his victory in Gran Canaria and the #5 here, Miguel leads the youth ranking (U20) overall!
