Fiji and Peru Up Next, Chile Forced to Postpone

NEWSFLASH – We have just had news from the event organisers in Chile who have decided they must cancel that event for Sept.24-Oct.2, 2022. The very high cost of flights into Chile for riders, and the overlapping dates with Sylt were the two prime factors in their decision. Thankfully there is also GOOD NEWS to soften this blow.

Instead of the Wave Tour (WT-3 Star) event this year, Chile will host two Local Title (LT-1 Star) events with the first in October 2022, and the second in January 2023. This will help local and regional riders prepare and hone their skills to lead into the big (WT-3 Star) event for Chile in March 2023. Three events in Chile will strongly support local and regional riders to get a significant foothold on the growing RIDER RANKINGS ladder, and have their shot at qualifying for the GRAND FINAL Aloha Classic. The plan is to support Latin American riders and bring the world’s best to Chile to ride those INSANE WAVES and see who really is the best of the best. This gives the RED HOT local riders a chance to take on the best in the world, and the locals are seriously good, so don’t be surprised to see big name upsets and loads of high drama when this epic event finally has a clean and clear chance to shine on the world stage.
