The UK's first ever Wind Foiling week was held at the OTC in Weymouth Portland. Run and Coached by Sam Ross. The week took the group through everything they needed to know about Foils, including setup, types, board setup. As well as techniques to get lift off, short glides and sustained flight. The Group also began to look at foiling transitions. A massive well done to all those who took part and are now official graduates of Flight School. More foiling clinics and camps coming soon . The consistent evolution of the legendary HERO makes the SUPER HERO the ultimate World Cup wave sail with an extremely wide range of use. On the one hand, it captivates with a manageable top performance, even in nuking spots such as the Canaries or South Africa, remaining perfectly controllable even in fully overpowered jumping conditions. On the other hand, it offers powerful acceleration at the lower wind limit, as you need for down the line riding on Maui or Mauritius. Designer Kai Hopf has moved up the batten above the boom increasing the gap to the foot batten similar to a 3 batten sail. This FREE.BOOMZONE.CONCEPT provides an incredible on-off on the wave. The batten-free area is super easy to pump and offers less resistance for the wind to fill out the profile in the wind in the underpowered conditions, similar to a 3 batten sail. However, in order to ensure high stability in strong winds and uniform a performance, Kai uses two MINI.BATTEN and the HOLLOW.LOWER.LEECH directly above the boom. In addition, RADIAL.LOAD.STRIPES starting from the clew stabilize in particular the boom-free area and ensure an even load-distribution. The result is a 4 batten wave sail with incomparable wide wind range which combines maximum low end power with control and stability. The low weight makes for incredible handling, while rigging you can already imagine how light and soft the sail feels. The rotation is as smooth as silk, even with minimal outhaul tension. The top of the sail works very effectively to support the power, therefore you can safely choose a sail size smaller than with many other wave sails. This applies to almost any rider, regardless of their weight. Sail sizes range from 3.0 up to 6.7 to cover a maximum range of use. To ensure maximum draft stability the 3 largest sizes feature a 5-batten layout. SUPERHERO HD Basically identical, the SUPER HERO HD comes without monofilm even in the window panel.

The Longboard line is designed with a full on surf performance in mind. All three sizes feature a very subtle step deck and a nicely pulled in tail. The narrow tail, in combination with increased V, makes them very loose and responsive. A flat deck curve gives the rider confidence when paddling and the stability needed to cross the breaking waves. The smooth bottom curve provides good glide and, in combination with the increasing tail kick, easy rail to rail transition. The Longboards have an amazing range of use. The combination of a surf board outline, subtly curved rocker line and generous volume thinned out on the rails through a step deck is a winning concept that fuses glide and stability with great surfing characteristic. The bottom shapes feature concaves throughout running into a V towards the tail. The V in the tail helps to rail up when going down a wave. Their noses create efficient lift and the thinned out rails produce good bite during turns. The FUSIONs have a really good glide and are happy in flat water paddling, but they love the waves. The 6th edition of the popular International Windsurfing Regatta Kalisz 2017 took place from 2-4 June on Lake Szale near the oldest Polish town of Kalisz. 3 days of racing with more then 100 competitors from which 90 percent were youth windsurfers from BIC Techno 293 youth Olympic class. 11 races in challenging conditions with planing, marginal and non planing winds tested all participants and not only their physical but also their tactical endurance. Good racing on the water couple with a great atmosphere on the beach with daily catering and evening barbeque on Saturday. Lots of great prizes including some money for the best in each category. Platz landete Shania Raphael. Freitag konnten wir die Packeis Kiel Towin session bei schönstem Wetter durchziehen. Hierbei gewann Kevin Langbehn, der somit den amtierenden Towin Meister vom letzten Jahr, Valentin Böckler, vom Thron stoßte.
