Tears from heaven were falling today as Cagliari was saying good bye to 334 best youth windsurfer from 26 countries. Most important race(s) were scheduled today. For some it was the last one for some the race to return the charter gear. But one way or the other all met at the closing ceremony which was once again a brilliant demonstration of BIC Techno 293 class spirit...

For some already early celebration of the titles for most another great racing day at the BIC Techno 293 one design worlds in Cagliari Sardinia.

Finally the real wind of Cagliari !!! After usual morning lycra ceremony and little bit of dancing in the rain, wind picked up all fleets did 3 races. Sunny, windy, what more you can ask for….

It takes a skills of captain combined with flow of MC to manage of group of new age pirates that techno kids are. But we have such a person and he is in the right position. The PWA World Cup in Sylt in Germany is one of the highlights towards the end of the season and every rider is happy to return to its beaches as it normally provides gnarly conditions. Unfortunately, this year was different. The wind only was strong enough to have one slalom elimination but no freestyle or wave competition. The organizers kept the riders busy with SUP team competitions. But the highlights of the event were the freestyle tow-in shows where the JP riders did extremely well – especially Amado Vrieswijk NB-20, Julien Mas F-7 and Steven van Broeckhoven B-72. Here a short review and interview.

334 competitors from 26 countries, 5 continents. First day of racing with 3 races sailed for each fleet. And 4 months ago nobody in windsurfing club Cagliari knew they will organise the World championship for the biggest windsurfing class in the world. Masters of organising event on a short notice!!!

Stars of today & tomorrow meet here in Cagliari for the World championships 2015 in BIC Techno 293 One design class, the biggest windsurfing class in the World.
