KVK Lanová dráha Černý důl - Kunčince . L.

Major of Kalisz CUP 2015

22.-24.5. on a small lake Szale close to oldes town in Poland KALISZ, local club UJKS "Szturwal" Kalisz organised 4th edition of Major of Kalisz CUP. Event which is a first big windsurfing event on Polish calendar but aims to be much more then that. Organisers want to create the event where racing in good old windsurfing tradition is 50 percent of the show and other 50 percent is social part. Despite the weak forecast for weekend, 8 races were sailed and we had a great event on and off the water. Believe it or not 20 000 people came to see it during saturday It is all thanks to many other attraction that were part of the show. Local police estimates that in culmination point there was 10 000 people on the beach watching the 84 competitors racing in various classes on the lake and enjoying the attraction on the water in the air and on the beach. (air show, concerts, fireshow, free atractions for kids) if you were lucky you can even win a ride in helicopter. Party went on until late night. All this would not be possible without massive support from sponsors and local authorities. Major of Kalisz, patron of the event, was smiling at the closing ceremony when pronouncing the event to be closed. The reason was ,as he declared, because he knows all will meet there next year again. event photo gallery : https://www.flickr.com/photos/svk1/sets/72157650941517894
