Long sandy white beaches, palm trees, crystal clear water and a 15-knot breeze. It's windsurfers' paradise, in the heart of Thailand.

Hailed as Asia's biggest and most popular regatta, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta promises to honor His Majesty the King of Thailand's birthday, with tight windsurfing races.

The last three days of the event will be dedicated to Phantom 295 windsurfing, in collaboration with the Windsurfing Association of Thailand (WATH).

"We have some strong winds out there at the moment, which are very fun. The board is really fast and gets going on the fin like a Formula board. So it's good with fast racing and it's pretty close as well!", says Robert York, Under 17 British national champion.

All racing will be done on the 40 supplied Phantom 295 packages and governed by ISAF rules. Sail sizes (8.5m2 and 7.5m2) will be determined based on the four divisions: Open Men, Open Women, Youth Men and Youth Women.
